Swiss Valley Angling Association was formed in 2021 by a group of Passionate anglers and the Llanelli Rural council. The aim was simple: To protect, improve and celebrate one of Carmarthenshires most iconic waters while creating a safe, fair and enjoyable environment for everyone who fishes here.
From the beginning, the association has focused on responsible Angling, environmental care and community involvement. With regular bailiff and Ranger patrols, clear rules and a commitment to safeguarding, we work hard to ensure the resevoir remains a welcoming place for Juniors, experienced anglers, novice anglers and visitors to the reservoir.
We support a wide range of fishing styles, from Coarse and Carp fishing to predator angling which has well and truly found itself as a top predator water in the area, we also work closely with other associations to allow angling afloat on a kayak which SWKA (South Wales Kayak Angler) have sole access to fish afloat and also other organisations to promote safe access, good practice and respect for the water and wildlife. Our members play a key role in maintaining the area to help the Rural council by reporting issues and helping clear vegetation and to help shape the future of the fishery.
Today, Swiss Valley Angling Association continues to grow, offering affordable membership, well-run events and a friendly community built on shared passion for the sport. Whether you’re here for a quiet days fishing, a competitive match or to learn something new, you’re part of a venue with a proud history and an exciting future.
